Safety & Responsibility
AQS complies with: Safe Work Procedures, Policies and Guidelines, and is a member in good standing; OHS regulations; and, WCB and client safety regulation requirements. Where required, AQS completes safety meetings, OSH Program check lists, emergency preparedness checklists, and site-specific work procedures checklists to ensure our staff are aware of safety requirements when on the job. The documents are reviewed by staff and sub-contractors tasked to specific projects to ensure high safety standards. Additionally, our staff and sub-contractors are trained in First Aid (OFA Level 1) & Electrofishing – Theory, Safety and Uses.
Environmental Responsibility
AQS senior staff is bound by the Code of Ethics of both the College of Applied Biology and Applied Science Technologist and Technicians organizations of British Columbia. Our company is up to date with current Federal and Provincial fish and wildlife Acts, legislation and Best Management Practices. Our work is reviewed by Environmental Regulatory Agencies for approvals and authorizations, and we must be up to date with this information in order to provide our clients with the services they request.
